How much fun was the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations?

We loved every minute of it. There was a real buzz in the air, as we all prepared and planned for the big party ahead. This weekend was all about classic British recipes, retro bakes and incredible showstoppers that would make your neighbours at your street parties say ‘Ooooh’ and ‘Ahhhhh’!

We were so lucky to team up with some of the best bakers on the ‘gram, @lolliesandbakes, @thesugafix and @isla_eats__ to inspire you ahead of the Jubilee weekend.

@lolliesandbakes made these delicious Raspberry Trifle Cupcakes, a classic custard sponge filled with raspberry jam! 😍 These cupcakes received so much love from you all, so many of you tried and absolutely loved the recipe, some even made them a few times! So you should definitely have a go. The secret to her recipe? Using caster sugar, which made her batter super light and fluffy.

We have so much love for @isla_eats__ 's bakes and reels, so we had to team up for the Jubilee! Isla made the most incredible cake celebrating our fav’ summer cocktail - Pimm's 🍓 the soft sponge is topped with the silkiest brown sugar Swiss meringue buttercream and topped with strawberries, orange, mint and cucumber rolls - yum! She used Light Soft Brown sugar for the meringue to give it all the oomph.

And last but not least, our showstopper made using our Royal Icing sugar, deliciously made by @thesugafix_ . Emma made the most Royal celebration cake 😍 in those gorgeous blue and gold colours. Such a gorgeous cake! A Royal cake does deserve a Royal Icing sugar to top it all off, don’t you think?

It made us so happy to see that everyone took the celebrations very seriously, all the baking, love and preparation that went into making this weekend what it was! Even the Royal family baked, everyone must have seen the pictures, so cute.

All this baking and partying has given us a taste for what's to come this summer. Hopefully, plenty of sunshine, BBQ's, summer celebrations and plenty of cakes, Pimm's, trifles and all the fruity sweet treats.
